About Me

I am 29 and live in Liverpool. I started my blog in March 2014 and used to review hundreds of books a year. Then, I began to fall out of love with reading due to the pressures of trying to keep up with other reviewers and my own self-inflicted pressure of wanting to review as many books as possible. When I stopped blogging and read solely for enjoyment, I fell in love with reading again. When I didn't renew my domain, I lost access to it and tried everything to get back, until it became available to buy again one day and so a thought came into my head of whether it might be time to blog again.

I read a wide variety of genres but my most read are crime fiction and thriller. I also love reading women's fiction, autobiographies, family sagas set in Liverpool or London and true crime books.

I usually have a book on the go at all times, but these days it's probably my Kindle rather than a physical book. I set up a blog for two reasons: to discuss books with other book lovers (people in real life just don't 'get' it) and because one of my favourite authors added me on Goodreads one day to say they loved my review, the feeling was amazing and I love sharing reviews and feedback with my favourite authors.

  1. Just discovered your blog. I to read crime fiction and I will admit to reading the odd chick-lit book. It was good to see a review of Shaun Hutson who I also read.
A few of my favourite authors are; Ian Rankin, James Herbert (RIP), Len Deighton and Mike Gayle. But to be honest with you the list is pretty much endless.
Keep up the good work and I will keep checking in regularly.

    Yours
