#PaperbackSummer: June, July & August

#PaperbackSummer

Sophie and Suze's #PaperbackSummer is almost here and I can't wait. I have so many paperbacks that I have had for ages but never got around to reading. I also have some that I have wanted to reread for ages and so this summer is going to be the perfect time to do that. I will of course be reading review books at the same time (and probably buying one or two books...) so I don't know how many of the below I will manage but hopefully a lot! I'm not showing a picture of the books I have all over the house as it's quite terrifying, just the ones I might get around to reading!

Rereads

Despite reading most of the Harry Potter books too many times to count (Goblet of Fire way too many!), it has been a few years since my last reread so I definitely want to read them.

Mark Billingham's Tom Thorne series is a favourite of mine, and I bought these paperback versions from The Works a few years ago for a bargain price so will hopefully be able to reread a couple of them.

Series

Receiving books for review is a privilege but in 2015 I have tried to cut down on how many I accept because there are just so many books I want to read, and there's series that I started before becoming a blogger that I can't wait to continue reading. Top of the list is Michael Grant's Gone series (I've read but want to reread Gone, Hunger and Lies) and Charlie Higson's The Enemy series (I borrowed book one from the library).

Other

Some of you may know that Jackie Collins is my favourite author, but I can't claim to have read all of her books. Two which I haven't read I bought over a year ago and so I think it's time I picked them up! Victoria Fox is an author that is new to me and again, I've had two of her books for ages just sitting in a drawer...

Also, one of my favourite books of all-time is Keith Lowe's Tunnel Vision. My copy might look okay in the picture but it's yellowed and battered, I must have read it about ten times or more but I'm hoping for one more. You can't even get it on Kindle!

Are you taking part in #PaperbackSummer? Comment and let me know what's on your TBR or if you've read any of the above!

  1. If you like Jackie Collins then you will definitely enjoy Victoria Fox. I have read both of those books, admittedly by pools on holiday, and loved them both.

I will be taking part in #paperbacksummer but apart from the new Lindsey Kelk and Paige Toon, I'm not sure which others I will definitely be aiming to read.

  2. I try to re-read the Harry Potters every other summer, even though I've read them all so many times they all still feel totally fresh. I've got my own #PaperbackSummer TBR pile, trying to mix up review books and old charity shop finds that have been languishing on my shelves for far too long.
